Episode 7: How I Actually Track My Habits

I've tried a lot of journalling systems. I stuck to one for months before realising I was just filling in a form every evening, and quietly dreading it.

What I use now is simpler, and it's stuck. In this episode I walk through the whole thing: a Moleskine for daily reflection, a pocket notebook that goes everywhere with me, a monthly habit tracker, and the Day One archive that gives me a bit of perspective on my own life. I also cover why evenings work better than mornings for me, and how I track sleep, exercise and creative time without beating myself up about it.

The One Thing: treat your habit tracker as information about how things are going, not a list of things you've failed at.
